The INFINITI QX80 certainly has a commanding presence. This year, the QX80 gets even better than ever with several notable features and updates. For the interior, the cabin gets a modern twist with the addition of a new infotainment system. More technology features are now standard, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The latest QX80 can also be accessorized with the Edition 30 package, which is a commemorative package with unique styling accents that honors INFINITI’s 30th year of vehicle production in the United States. The INFINITI also stands out for its precise and powerful steering and handling system. The INFINITI has several competitors, including the 2020 Lincoln Navigator. The Navigator, however, falls short of what the INFINITI offers in several ways, including less impressive performance credentials.
Performance
There are two trim levels available for the 2020 INFINITI QX80. They are both equipped with the same impressive engine, which is a 5.6L gasoline engine with an eight-cylinder configuration. This engine can crank out up to 400 HP and 413 LB-FT of torque and is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The QX80 provides a choice of drivetrains, including rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. Some trims are only offered with four-wheel drive, which provides exceptional off-road capabilities. The Lincoln Navigator only has a six-cylinder engine, and its drivetrain options are either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Styling
At first glance, it’s apparent that the 2020 INFINITI is a luxury vehicle that stands out from the crowd. The INFINITI has a striking exterior that includes the option of getting 22-inch wheels. The base trim is outfitted with prominent LED headlights and a power liftgate for convenience. Additional exterior features are available through upgrading packages like the ProActive package that gives your car a dark chrome-accented grille and special exterior badges. The Navigator isn’t available with the same add-on options and packages as the INFINITI, giving you fewer options for a customized finish.
Interior Features
Inside, the QX80 is just as glamorous. The QX80 comes with heated seats in the front, a three-zone climate control, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. It also gets a heated steering wheel and a 13-speaker Bose sound system. The higher-end trim gets quilted leather seats, dual eight-inch monitors, and a 17-speaker sound system. Many safety features come standard and you can upgrade technology with the addition of a Theater package that extends infotainment to the back row. The 2020 Navigator only gets a sound system with 14 speakers at most. The Navigator also has less intuitive controls that take some time to learn to use and its sheer size creates reduced visibility.
