When it comes to choosing the right SUV, you want the elegance and power that makes them so special. When looking at the 2020 INFINITI QX60 and the 2020 Toyota Highlander, we see two great vehicles that can display both, but only one can give you that something extra. That would be the INFINITI QX60. It’s in the luxury SUV line and offers more for your money. Plus, it’s sleek design gives off an array of class that you can’t get with any other brand. Toyota offers a great line of SUVs, but they do not provide enough modern enhancements.
Interior
Looking at the interior of the QX60, we see that there is an intelligent key that offers an illuminated push-button ignition, a Tri-zone automatic temperature control system with a microfilter, and rear seat heating vents that can be found under the first and second seats. Also, you can add an illuminated entry lighting feature that is overhead as you enter the vehicle, right-way power driver seat, leatherette appointed seating, heated front seat, and both second and third-row split-folding seats. On the Highlander, the seats are fabric-trimmed unless you upgrade to a higher trim line. The Toyota also has a three-zone climate control system, but it has a regular air filter and you get the map lights with no illuminated lighting. The second and third-row seats do split, however, the third row does not do a 50/50 split, instead doing the same 60/40 as the second row. There is no intelligent key entry feature with the Toyota either.
Performance
The INFINITI QX60 comes with a 3.5-Liter 24-valve V6 direct engine. Looking at the transmission, it had a continuously variable speed that is electronically controlled for the automatic version and manually controlled with sequentially selectable manual gearshifts. It also comes with a drive mode selector that would allow you to choose between standard, sport, snow, and eco mode with the ability to control the throttle response and transmission mapping. On the Toyota Highlander, you get almost the same engine type, but it comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission that is electronically controlled without the extra advancements.
Safety
The 2020 INFINITI QX60 is a top safety pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The QX60 offers airbags in the front, side, and roof which are adjusted according to seat belt usage and severity impact of the crash. The roof-mounted airbags protect the heads of all passengers in both the first, second, and third rows should the vehicle find itself rolling over. Another feature the seat belts come with are a three-point emergency locking retractor. The QX60 also comes with added safety measures for passenger with vehicle crumple zones that reduce impact force in accidents. The Toyota Highlander offers the Toyota Safety System standardly along with accompanying airbag technology.
Although both vehicles are in the top of their class, you can see for yourself why the INFINITI QX60 is the better SUV over the Toyota Highlander. It’s time you took home the luxury you always wanted. Come by the dealership today to make the QX60 yours!
