Listed on the luxury market, the 2020 INFINITI QX60 and QX50 are mid-size crossover SUVs with innovative features. Both models have active safety technologies from the Safety Shield suite. Bose audio systems and the InTouch infotainment system are some notable highlights in these family cars. Celebrating three decades on the road, each vehicle is available in the exclusive Edition 30.
Performance
A V6 engine with a 295-horsepower output is standard in the 2020 QX60. You can tap into 270 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 RPM in this 3.5 L powertrain, which takes gasoline through direct injection. A 5,000-pound towing capacity is earned by the six-cylinder propulsion system. Running on the exclusive Variable Compression technology, the 2020 QX50’s all-new turbocharged engine whips out 268 hp. The innovative VC-Turbo 2.0 L engine cranks out 280 lb-ft of peak torque at 1,600 RPM. Noise from combustion is mitigated by the Active Torque Rod, a class-exclusive feature that dampens mechanical vibrations. The QX50 also boasts a continuously variable transmission with highly adaptive gear sequences. Similarly, sequential shifting is available in the QX60’s electronically controlled automatic transmission. Both INFINITI crossover SUVs offer the Drive Mode Selector with optimum settings for normal, sporty and efficient driving. The Snow Mode also gives the QX60 model a better chance to survive harsh winter conditions.
Technology
The signature INFINITI InTouch software is installed in the 2020 QX60 and QX50. An 8-inch monitor with a touch-sensitive menu is available in the QX60. Similarly, the QX50’s upper LCD touch screen measures exactly 8 inches. A lower 7-inch touch screen is also installed in this model. You may utilize the INFINITI Controller to scroll through the virtual menus on the dual-display multimedia system. Both crossover SUVs have GPS navigation systems with real-time traffic feeds and other travel-related content. More than a dozen services are included in the QX60’s InTouch mobile app, such as the Destination Send to Car and Vehicle Health Report. You can also utilize the Max Speed Alert and Drive Zone Alert to remotely track the performance of another authorized driver. This INFINITI model offers a 15-speaker audio from the Bose CenterPoint production line. Up to 16 speakers from the Bose Performance Series are optional in the QX50. Metallic speaker grilles and a subwoofer are integrated into this high-end sound package.
Safety
The Forward Collision Warning is optional in the 2020 QX60 and QX50. By projecting potential traffic scenarios ahead of you, this technology helps you avoid a frontal collision. Both INFINITI models are available with front-facing sensors that identify pedestrians. These luxury vehicles also have the Forward Emergency Braking that can prevent or reduce the severity of accidents. Available in the QX50, the Rear Automatic Braking takes accident-prevention measures when you back up. Each vehicle can be equipped with other active safety technologies, like the Intelligent Cruise Control with the Full-Speed Range.
INFINITI of Gwinnett is ready to show you the 2020 QX60 Pure, Luxe and other trims. You can also request test drives in the 2020 QX50 Essential, Sensory and other editions.
