The 2020 INFINITI QX50 is a top-ranked luxury car. This year, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are added to its list of standard amenities. There are more standard safety features in the 2020 QX50 as well. The infotainment system in the INFINITI gets even better this year with a refreshed appearance. The latest QX50 is part of the second generation that debuted in 2019. The INFINITI has a more high-end interior design than the Nissan, and it also comes with more standard technology. The INFINITI’s engine also produces more power.
Style
The INFINITI exudes glamour from front to back with an elegant outer shell adorned with chrome accents, LED lights, and a signature double-arched grille. The base trim of the QX50 also comes with a hands-free power-operated liftgate. Moving up the line, you can get a panoramic sunroof starting with the Luxe. Adaptive headlights are included on the Sensory trim. The Nissan has a sportier and less refined appearance than the INFINITI. The Nissan has automatic headlights on the base trim, but it lacks standard LED lights. A hands-free liftgate is not available until you reach the higher-end trims. Fewer packages are available to complete its look.
Safety and Technology
In 2020, the INFINITI QX50 gets a five-star crash test rating from the US Department of Transportation. The INFINITI’s safety features include lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision avoidance, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. A hands-free infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is another technology highlight. The 2020 Nissan does not have as many standard safety features. Compared to the INFINITI, which has a new interactive display, the Nissan’s display screen is smaller and less user-friendly. It also has a smaller cabin and lacks a premium audio system.
Performance and Handling
The INFINITI also excels in performance with the QX50’s sheer power, which comes in the form of a 2.0L turbo engine that produces 268 HP and 280 LB-FT of torque. While front-wheel drive is standard, you can select all-wheel drive as well. The Nissan’s engine is not turbo-charged and produces, at most, 170 HP. Front-wheel drive is standard on the Nissan Murano.
