The 2020 INFINITI QX50 belongs to the class of luxury SUVs that also includes the 2020 Cadillac XT5. But when it comes down to the wire, the QX50 offers more in the way of standard features and amenities. The QX50 also has a more spacious cabin and blocks out more exterior noise, making it a good choice if you’re looking for a car that’s quiet to drive in town and on the highway. The INFINITI QX50 has a long list of standard features, including more modern amenities that have been added for the latest model year. More safety features are now standard, and the QX50 also comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional luxuries are now available too, including quilted leather seats, which are not available on the Cadillac.

Interior Design

Interior design is one key area where the INFINITI excels. The INFINITI comes standard with an abundance of amenities that starts with a spacious interior. The INFINITI QX50 makes way for passengers and cargo with ample space in between its rows and plenty of storage space in the trunk. The QX50 seats five occupants in two rows. The Cadillac XT5 also has seating for five, but its interior has less space overall. The interior lacks the convenient storage spaces offered by the INFINITI as well, which makes traveling more difficult for those who don’t travel light.

Even at the base level, the INFINITI comes with many standard amenities. The base INFINITI, called the Pure, features dual-zone climate control and two touchscreen displays rather than just one, which is what you’ll get with the entry level of the Cadillac. The front seats are power-adjustable in the Pure. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included, as are a number of driver-assist safety aids. A panoramic sunroof, heated seats, and navigation are available at the next level. For safety, the INFINITI gets a panoramic backup camera, lane departure intervention, and adaptive cruise control. The Cadillac only offers one infotainment display, which is a standard eight-inch screen. There are only two standard safety features on the Cadillac compared to the bundle of advanced safety aids that the INFINITI includes as a base package.

The INFINITI is powered by one standard engine, which is a 2.0L with four cylinders. With this engine, the INFINITI’s power credentials are 268 HP and 280 LB-FT in torque. The engine is connected to an automatic transmission. You can opt to get all-wheel drive. However, front-wheel drive comes standard. The Cadillac has a four-cylinder engine with a lower total power output that is just short of 240 HP. The Cadillac’s engine creates less torque as well at 258 LB-FT, which means that you’ll have a less exciting ride overall in this SUV compared to the INFINITI.
