Regarded as luxury vehicles, INFINITI’s Q50 and Q60 offer enticing options for those interested in a comfortable and safe ride. The Q60 features larger wheels and is a bit more compact than the Q50. Here is a more in-depth comparison between the two:

Performance

Both vehicles come with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine with an aluminum alloy block and heads and water cooled air charging system. Both offer 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The vehicles are 7 speed automatic transmission. Both have electronic power steering with active trace control, which adjusts vehicle braking and engine torque to enhance cornering feel. Both of the cars have standard front and rear independent suspension with coil springs over dual flow path shock absorbers and a stabilizer bar. The Q50 has an estimated fuel economy of 20 city and 29 highway, while the Q60 has an estimated fuel economy of 19 city and 28 highway.

Features

Both cars feature adaptive shift control, wherein a driver-adaptive learning algorithm senses the driving style and adjusts automatic shifting accordingly. There is also the option of a manual shift mode offering selectable gearshifts and downshift rev matching. Both vehicles have hill start assist and dual automatic transmission fluid coolers. An INFINITI drive mode selector allows the driver to choose between standard, snow, eco, sport, sport+, or personal driving settings. Both vehicles feature automatic on/off LED headlights with daytime running lights, UV-reducing solar glass, remote power opening of windows using INFINITI intelligent key, power heated outside mirrors with integrated LED turn signal lamp, and front door handle courtesy lights.

On the interior, both vehicles feature INFINITI intelligent key with push button ignition, dual zone automatic temperature control system with microfilter, power door locks with automatic locking feature, valet key and trunk lockout, sequential welcome lighting illuminated entry system with delayed fade out, front sun visors with illuminated vanity mirrors, and front and rear carpeted floor mats. Both cars have a battery saver that helps prevent accidental discharging if electrical accessories are left on.

Safety

The INFINITI advanced air bag system found in both cars includes dual stage front supplemental air bags with an occupant classification sensor. The inflation rate of the air bags is adjusted depending on crash severity. If the front passenger’s seat is empty, a sensor will deactivate the air bag. Both cars are also equipped with vehicle stability control, ABS and driveline traction control, and RearView Monitor cameras.

As you can see, both vehicles are very attractive options. If you’d like to experience their differences firsthand, stop by soon and give them both a test drive!
