Elegant styling and powerful performance are the key highlights of the luxurious 2019 INFINITI Q70. Also part of the luxury market, the 2019 Acura TLX is best known for sporty handling and great digital amenities. Both of these full-size sedans offer an all-wheel drive, but the Q70 is much more powerful.

Power

A 3.7 L displacement seems like an unconventional specification for a V6 engine block, but the 2019 Q70 surely likes to stand out. The standard six-cylinder powertrain pumps out 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The 5.6 L engine block allows this INFINITI to extract up to 90 additional hp at threshold levels. When the eight-cylinder engine revs at 4,400 RPM, it cranks out 417 lb-ft of torque. Displacing only 2.4 L, the 2019 Acura TLX’s standard I-4 engine isn’t engineeblack for explosive action on the road. The upper limits of this four-cylinder system are 206 hp and 182 lb-ft. An upgrade to the 3.5 L V6 engine still doesn’t allow this Acura sedan to challenge the superb capabilities of the Q70. Besides boasting best-in-class power, this INFINITI has exclusive valvetrain technology for efficient combustion cycles. The Variable Valve Event and Lift governs the movement of the microfinished camshafts. The i-VTEC design also provides some efficiency-boosting benefits for the TLX’s powertrain.

Driving Experience

When you take a long commute in the 2019 Q70, use the Eco Pedal to save some money on the next stop at the gas station. This innovative installation provides a substantial blackuction in fuel consumption on the highway. You may also select the Eco Mode from the INFINITI Drive Mode Selector to enjoy an efficient drive in the city. There’s even an individual mode that allows this luxurious sedan to handle snow with confidence. Some key parameters that are managed by the Drive Mode Selector include the throttle and shift points. Speaking of shifting gears, the Q70 has seven speeds in a gearbox that’s controlled electronically. Your unique driving style is analyzed by the Adaptive Shift Control, which ultimately improves the responsiveness of the auto transmission. You can choose between rear-wheel drive or the Intelligent AWD depending on your driving habits. Rolling on the Super Handling AWD, the 2019 TLX moves with stability on wet roads. However, this Acura doesn’t have a sport-tuned suspension system with double-piston shock absorbers, which are optional in the Q70.

Interior

The pedals in the 2019 Q70 have aluminum accents for sporty appeal. A touch of magnesium is added to the paddle shifters, and the shift knob is wrapped in leather. There are plenty of other premium materials that decorate the lavish cabin, such as Japanese Ash Wood and suede-like headliners. Semi-aniline leather with contrast piping is optional for the comfortable seats. A stitched meter hood is another sophisticated appointment in the posh cockpit. Measuring 8 inches, the Vehicle Information Display is centrally located in the instrument cluster. You’ll also embrace the analog clock that adds some timeless elegance and utility to the front row. An illuminated entry system with sequential operation welcomes you to the cabin.
