Available with multiple turbocharged engines, the 2019 INFINITI Q50 is a sporty sedan that boasts premium amenities. The 2019 Acura TLX is a stylish sedan that also offers a smooth drive. Powered by the InTouch technology, the Q50’s multimedia system is loaded with exclusive digital services that aren’t available in the AcuraLink platform. This INFINITI model also has 16 high-end speakers by Bose.

Powertrain

Twin turbochargers are integrated into the 2019 Q50’s V6 engine block, which whips out up to 400 horsepower. Displacing 3.0 L on each full stroke, this six-cylinder powertrain delivers 350 pound-feet of peak torque. Two sensors monitor the speed of the turbochargers, and dual water pumps cool the engine. This INFINITI sedan is also available with a 2.0 L turbo engine that spits out just less than 210 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Displacing 2.4 L, the 2019 Acura TLX’s four-cylinder engine has peak outputs of 206 hp and 182 lb-ft. The car’s V6 engine doesn’t match the class-leading ratings of the Q50’s twin-turbo powertrain. However, the i-VTEC technology contributes to efficient performance under the hood of the TLX. Engineered to reduce emissions and boost fuel economy, an idle start/stop system is available in both sedans. The ECO Pedal is an optional installation that improves efficiency in the Q50.

Driving Experience

Seven gear speeds are available in the 2019 Q50’s automatic transmission system. A sophisticated algorithm ensures that the gear ratios adapt to your unique driving patterns. Having a sequential shifting mechanism, the Manual Shift Mode is included in this adaptive transmission. This INFINITI sedan is also available with the Downshift Rev Matching that instantly reduces the gear ratios based on the road. The Drive Mode Selector further optimizes the settings in the gearbox and other mechanical systems. Having a patented design that splits torque between the front and rear wheels, the Intelligent AWD is optional in the Q50. You can get rear-wheel drive for faster acceleration on the track. When fitted with the Super Handling AWD, the 2019 Acura TLX’s wheels get a strong grip on the road. This model is also available with a cutting-edge FWD system that’s linked to the Precision All-Wheel Steer technology.

Digital Technology

Running on the next-generation InTouch technology, the 2019 Q50’s infotainment system comes with a suite of digital services. From security and concierge to diagnostics and remote access, the InTouch hub provides excellent utility. This INFINITI also comes with a four-year subscription to SiriusXM Travel Link. Part of the Bose Performance Series, the car’s audio system includes 16 speakers. The Centerpoint Simulated Surround technology optimizes the sound quality from SiriusXM Satellite Radio or other music channels. Designed by ELS Studio, the 2019 Acura TLX’s audio system is available with seven or 10 speakers. Aha and Pandora channels are included in this signature sound system.
